here comes the bride...

this past weekend we traveled to hilton head to help throw one of my best friends, caitlin a bridal shower. it was a beautiful day and so much fun to celebrate such a wonderful couple. 

here are a couple of little snapshots...

succulents wrapped with moss in egg crates.

what valentines day looks like at our house

really good wine, paper hearts (lots of hearts), candles galore, ray lamontagne, cheese fondue, fire, heart-shaped brownies (like i said, lots of hearts), and a happy husband make for the perfect valentines day.

oh, and btw...husband got me red roses and these.

is it wierd that i want to plan an entire party based on straws. it is wierd, isn't it.

this year i have decided that since i am a grown up now...
i will through my newly engaged friend a wedding shower.

but don't be surprised if it isn't your average wedding shower...
and don't be surprised if it is a vintage carnival themed shower based solely on these straws.
